Standing Stone Consulting offers a variety of training opportunities for your organization.
Educating children, Fortune 500 companies, and government and military leaders, our team is passionate about creating a more secure world. Each class is tailored to your organization’s specific needs and desires.
Our internationally requested trainers provide knowledge that empowers participants to both know the material and use that knowledge to contribute to a safer environment.
Below is a list of the training provided to support any organization's safe operation along with a brief description. Should you have any questions, please reach out to discuss the details and have any training session customized to fit your facility's specific needs. Training can be conducted in tabletop, full-scale, or partial-scale formats.
Standing Stone will organize drills and exercises (Table-top, Full Scale, or Partial Scale) for a variety of incidents from natural disasters and pandemics to mass casualty (medical) incidents to intentional attacks. Each exercise will be tailored to your organization's specific needs and circumstances (police, fire, and ambulance response times, the physical environment, and training levels of personnel). Each exercise will present what to do, a question and answer session, the exercise activity, a review of strengths and weaknesses, a second exercise, and an out-brief of lessons learned. Standing Stone will coordinate the exercises in conjunction with local emergency responder participation whenever practical. Classes include reunification procedures, recovery plans, and how to communicate with the media.
Standing Stone provides safety, security, and emergency response consulting and training for a wide variety of clients in order to help them protect their people, their property, and their reputation. Being safe allows our clients to focus on their mission without being distracted by the fear of something terrible happening to them.
Standing Stone’s team is pleased to provide our experts to train your staff in a wide variety of safety and security topics. All topics are custom designed so that the training reflects the organization’s unique facility, people, culture, and resources.
Training is also available for students as it relates to personal safety and security issues.
When an incident occurs, is your organization fully prepared to continue operations without your original people or facility? How long will it take you to get back to normal? Standing Stone will provide training and guidance on what is needed to continue your mission after an incident occurs.
With so much effort spent on how to respond to an incident once it has occurred, wouldn’t it be nice to stop or minimize bad things before they happen? CPTED is an internationally accepted approach to doing just that. By manipulating the environment and how we use it, we can deter, detect, delay, and/or deny most losses from occurring. Learn how the principles of CPTED can help your organization.
Response Enhanced Design teaches two things:
1. How to ensure a balanced approach between security tactics and tactics needed for effective and efficient emergency response, and
2. Determine if your site and those at your property are prepared to effectively respond until outside help arrives.
Often times a site can become so secure that it can slow down needed emergency response. RED teaches how to balance the needs of security with those of emergency response. In addition, RED teaches how to determine what strategies and tactics are needed to successfully respond to an incident until outside help arrives. If there is a 20-minute police response time, then those on-site need to be able to secure against violent situations for at least 20 minutes. RED helps to identify what training and environmental tactics can be used to create that needed time.
Write, review and reorganization, and follow up on support to your organization and facility. Our consultants will identify items from the existing plan for inclusion in the updated EOP, recommend areas that need improvement, and then review the Plan with the Organization.
For school districts, Standing Stone will review and reorganize your current EOP so that it meets State (PEMA), Federal (FEMA), and Department of Education safe schools planning requirements.
Find out how and where your organization can learn about current pandemic concerns, as well as how to prepare for and respond to a pandemic. Standing Stone educates on current pandemic concerns as well as helps to prepare your organization for what it can do to keep the mission going while keeping its people as safe as possible.
Turn fear into confidence by learning how to prepare for, respond to, and recover from an active shooter incident. All training will be coordinated with local responding agencies and will be tailored to your physical environment, people, and available resources.
Well-executed patrol strategies provide a strong line of defense against liabilities. Learn how to provide the most efficient and effective patrol strategies for your organization and property. Know what to look for and what to do when you see something amiss.
"Participating in the EOP training conducted by Standing Stone Consulting proved invaluable as a school district administrator. The content-specific sessions afforded me the ability to analyze our plan from a district perspective while understanding the nuances of school safety in each of our facilities. The framework and strategies Standing Stone employs will allow our district to develop and continually monitor our Safe Schools plan and training initiatives.”
