This branch of our family of services supplies the most appropriate force for each educational institution. Whether a certified police force under PA Act 67, armed or unarmed security forces, or a combination, this division is committed to protecting the educational process and the community at large. Our team will train, organize, and equip your district or institution with the most appropriate personnel to ensure academic success. This branch also works hand-in-hand with our consultants to provide unparalleled safe school support that is nationally recognized.
As part of our package of services we offer free safety curriculum to our schools, one full day of in-service training per year and select consulting services. Clients who choose Standing Stone benefit from decades (since 1999) of experience with educational institutions spanning the nation.
The Event, an Ad-Hoc division, is responsible for deploying a qualified security force (either armed or unarmed) to meet our client's event and temporary needs in various nonemergent situations.
The Events side of the division supports our clients so that they can have safe and enjoyable events. This division seeks to protect the experience of the clients, the performers and the patrons and to help ensure overall safety. Some of Standing Stone’s existing clients include event security for Penn State University’s Beaver Stadium, Hershey Entertainment, Wind Creek Event Center as well as for other high-profile concerts and bands, parades, and other community events across the Commonwealth.
The Ad-Hoc side of the division supports customers that may have a need for temporary security of a nonemergent nature. Some examples are fire watches, retail establishments under construction, move-in/out days for colleges and universities that need additional staff to maintain roadways and provide direction on campus, or any other situation requiring a temporary security force deployment. This division also integrates services with emergency operations should there be a need to ensure staffing and having the proper skill set for the situation.
The Emergency Operations branch of services is responsible for responding to our clients' emergencies, whether a hurricane or other natural disaster, potential active shooters such as in a hostile firing, executive protection, or temporary emergency operation for protests, social unrest or other emergent circumstances. The emergency operations divisions boast highly trained security forces and deployable law enforcement personnel.
Additionally, this division conducts behavioral threat assessments concerning behaviors and situations where an active shooter or a hostile termination may occur. All of our clients benefit significantly from having the services available to be a presence and to help calm tensions. Standing Stone can leverage process practice sectors to provide a myriad of solutions to our clients should an emergency strike. When the chips are down, Standing Stone provides a firm foundation to help see our clients through these trying times.
In addition, the team can also provide professional public Information Officers (PIOs) and expert witness testimony.
Consulting: Standing Stone provides a wide range of consulting services that include architectural and engineering design reviews and development as they relate to safety, security and emergency response. The team will also help produce bid documents for security and other related features that are designed in such a way as to get the greatest cost savings while still meeting all desired criteria. Consultants also work with construction companies to reduce losses while on-site.
The expert consults regularly review and develop Emergency Operations Plans and policies and procedures related to safety, security and emergency response efforts. To date, there has never been a finding against a Standing Stone developed Emergency Operation Plan (EOP).
Assessments: A variety of comprehensive assessments are offered and include; threat assessments (natural, accidental and intentional), vulnerability assessments (how identified threats can be actualized on property), risk assessments(what the organization has to lose should a threat be actualized) ,lighting assessments (the number one cause of liability lawsuits) and peer reviews of departments.
The Investigations and Background Inquiries Division is responsible for supporting the entire organization and its clients with the investigative horsepower to ensure integrity, compliance and ethics are at the highest levels.
Investigations: Standing Stone is committed to helping our clients with creating a work environment that supports their employees and so that it can function with integrity. The investigative team has decades of experience. Whether it is allegations of wrongdoing, critical incidents that happen on property or behavioral threat assessment during a hostile termination, Standing Stone stands behind our clients with our world class investigative capabilities. We are authorized to investigate both criminal and civil matters under Pennsylvania law.
Background inquiries: Standing Stone uses the leading background check practices and technology to provide our customers with the most qualified security and police teams in the industry. The success of our quality screening program to our customers is in that it searches all 50 states criminal records, Interpol, Megan's law list and many other databases to provide unrivaled background check quality. Standing Stone does not nickel and dime our clients with a state-by-state or county by county surcharge; it is one price for all 50 states.
Standing Stone also provides asset searches and skip tracing services.
Because Standing Stone is committed to having the highest quality employees to serve our customers our clients can rest assured that the officers that are on their site protecting their property have been fully vetted.
General Security Services help clients determine the most appropriate number and type of personnel needed to meet their unique security needs. Security needs are defined to provide written directives to on-site officers so that all objectives are met. Objectives include reducing risk and loss to people, property, the process of the client’s organization/business and their reputation. Specific duties are defined to meet those objectives. Once determined, trained and equipped personnel are deployed to the site for duty. 24/7/365 supervision is provided through a combination of technology and on-site visitation if a supervisor is not desired as part of the package. On-going training is also provided to all officers to stay abreast of changing laws and best practices and to hone and build on existing skill sets.
Customers vary from apartment complexes and student housing to service organizations, religious organizations, restaurants and retail establishments.

The Technology and Social Media divisions of Standing Stone are responsible for Standing Stones' web presence and supplying the frontline staff with the appropriate technology to meet client needs. Additionally, this department develops back-house infrastructure allowing for the Swift data transfer and communication between field personnel, the home office, and the client.
Clients benefit from this department as Standing Stone uses state-of-the-art technology to inform and collaborate on the Client’s needs. Additionally, we equip each officer with a package of technology that enables them to secure the client's property better and respond rapidly to situations that require attention.
