Threat, Vulnerability and Risk (Consequences) Assessments

What can hurt you? How are you vulnerable to threats? What are the consequences of an incident?

 Assessments allow your organization to:

  1. Know where you are based on qualified data and research by objective experts.
  2. Create and achieve goals and objectives that fit with your unique climate, culture, and resources.
  3. Plan your safety and security with confidence.

Threat Assessments

Standing Stone Threat Assessments comprehensively qualify and quantify over 35 natural, accidental and intentional threats so that you can prioritize your resources most effectively.  Threats are those things that can cause loss to people, property, the reputation and/or mission of an organization.

Natural threats range from wild animals, to tornadoes, pandemics, etc.   Accidental threats are those unforeseen incidents that are not intentional such as a car accident, gas leak or collapsing roof.  Intentional threats are typically crimes and range widely from graffiti to murder.

In all cases, your organization will understand the current existing and potential threats so that strategies and tactics can be implemented to lessen any risks.

Vulnerability & Risk/Loss Analysis

Vulnerabilities  are those weaknesses that, when exploited by a threat, result in a loss  to people, property, the reputation and/or mission of an organization.   For example, a door can have the best lock in the industry, but if that same door is regularly propped open, it will not aid in access control.   Risk is what there is to lose.  Continuing with the same propped open door example, the threat could be an active shooter, the vulnerability is the open door and the risk is the loss of people, property and the  process and reputation of the organization.

Standing Stone Consulting experts have an average of 25+ years of real-world  experience and consulting backgrounds.  These team members will determine the existing vulnerabilities to identified threats and offer cost-effective, sustainable solutions that will fit within the culture and resources of your organization.
