Grandfather writes a letter thanking Standing Stone

To whom it may concern,

   This letter is to recognize one of your security guards at a school Standing Stone Consulting work with. A few weeks ago, and for the first time, I went to pick up my granddaughter. This was my first time picking her up from school. When I was on my way, the officer asked me to stop, looked at me very cautiously and asked me to park at a specific/designated area. I told him who I was there to pick up and my relationship to the student he mentioned that he recognized the car, but not me. After a few minutes, I saw the student outside and the student waved to me; at this moment the officer realized that I wasn't a stranger to the student. 

   The officer allowed me to proceed with picking up the student. Although, I proceeded, the officer was looking attentively until the student got in the car. When I was heading out, the officer stopped me and said, referring to the student; "I know that student, but I have not seen you before". The officer apologized; the officer wanted to be sure that everything was ok. 

   The officers behavior demonstrated that the officer was more than aware of his surrounding and of the common and uncommon faces. I congratulated the officer for the commitment, role and overall responsibilities. I have no doubt that other security guards do a good job, but in this specific case, this particular officer showed that the safety of the students is of upmost importance to the officer. 

   I would like to recognize this particular security guard for the work well done. I left that day confident that the officers in a school that follow a strict protocol where the priority is the safety of our children. In addition, I left with a great sense of peace relative to the student I was picking up wellbeing while at school and during pick-up. 

   This is even more significant to me given the times we are living and the sad news of incidents occurring at schools throughout the United States. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Keep shining in your diligence to keep our children safe!"
